WELCOME to my new e-portfolio (Semma's Educational Portfolio). In this e-portfolio, I would like to share information that useful to others especially in learning biology and biodiversity. Hope you will enjoy going through and getting information from this page. So, I was hoping that this e-portfolio will help me and other teachers to improve our creativity in teaching the new modern generation of students.

For longer than a decade, one of the key challenges to the professional development of teachers has been to help the integration of ICT into education. Rationales for an increase in ICT use are based on the assumption that the future will be dominated by knowledge-intensive professions, and employees need, therefore, sophisticated information processing skills and versatile ICT tools. Therefore, ICT in teaching is considered important in the facilitation of equal opportunities for citizens to study and develop their own knowledge to ensure the success and welfare of the nation. However, the implementation of ICT innovations into school practice is difficult. Thus, it is important to initiate research and development in this field in order to discover what contributes to successful adoption of these innovations.

Assalamualaikum WBT and hye to everyone...(^_^).



My name is ASMA HAIRUNNISA BINTI ABDULLAH. You all can call me SEMMA. Just SEMMA…=). I was born on 2nd February 1986 in Kota Bharu, Kelantan…Negeri Cik Siti Wan Kembang. I’m very proud to be Kelantanese and I love my hometown so much. I have 6 sibling, 2 girls and 4 boys, and I was the eldest one in my family. I am simple and easy going person, love to make friends and networking with many people.

Previously, I had completed my first degree at Universiti Malaysia Terengganu on 2008 taking Applied Science of Biodiversity Conservation and Management. Currently, I further my study at Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris in Master Education of Biology. It is totally different from my previous study because I have no study background about education. So, it is quite challenging for me taking this Master Education. Right now, I’m in 1st semester taking 4 courses which are TSP 6033 ICT in Science Education, TSP 6043 Assessment in Science Learning, TBE 6013 Biodiversity and Extinction of Species, and UKP 6013 Fundamentals of Research Methods in Education. For course of ICT in Science Education, I had learn so many new ICT lessons which are very challenging to me since I’m not familiar with all sorts of the things and not IT savvy person. Using Smart board, creating album using Picasa, making hyperlinks, creating video using Camtasia Studio 6 and so on are all new to me. I will never give up and take this challenge as my responsibility as a student. Thanks to all my friends who had helped me to accomplish in developing my own blog.
